In a tweet, Trump announced he chose Robert C. O’Brien as his new National Security Advisor. Currently, O’Brien serves as the special presidential envoy for hostage affairs at the State Department.
Trump had praised O’Brien, with whom he has worked to try to free Americans held overseas.
