Former NJ Police Chief: “Donald Trump is the last hope for white people.”

While discussing the arrest of an African-American suspect, a sergeant with the police department recorded former Bordentown Township (NJ) Police Chief Frank Nucera’s comments.

“I’m telling you, you know what, Donald Trump is the last hope for white people, cause Hillary will give it to all the minorities to get a vote,” former Bordentown Township Chief Frank Nucera said, according to a transcript displayed at trial. “That’s the truth! I’m telling you.”

The feds charged Nucera with a hate crime assault, deprivation of the suspect’s rights, and lying to the FBI in connection with Timothy Stroye’s arrest.

Sgt. Nathan Roohr testified this week about what occurred after arresting Mr. Stroye for not paying his hotel bill.

As officers escorted Stroye from the hotel to the police car, Nucera approached him from behind and slammed his head into a metal doorjamb. Nucera’s recorded comments about Trump being the ‘Great White Hope’ came later.

Prosecutors used Nucera’s comments about Trump to show Nucera’s pattern of racist behavior.

In the past, Nucera repeatedly called African-Americans the *N* word, compared them to ISIS, “said he’d like to shoot them on a firing squad, and tried to use police dogs to intimidate them.”

Nucera resigned from the force in early 2017 when he learned the FBI was investigating him. He was arrested a few month later and currently collects “an annual pension of nearly $106,000.”
