Joe Biden questions if marijuana is a gateway drug; research shows it’s not

Joe Biden held a town hall in Las Vegas, Nevada. Nevada allows one to drink 27/7, smoke in numerous, public places, gamble, and prostitution is legal. Nevada also legalized the recreational use marijuana in 2016.

But, Biden said he doesn’t support legalizing it because “there’s not nearly been enough evidence” to confirm if marijuana isn’t a gateway dru. He needs more information before he would push to legalize it nationwide.

Research has repeatedly failed to find solid evidence of marijuana leading people to harder drugs.

“The truth of the matter is, there’s not nearly been enough evidence that has been acquired as to whether or not it is a gateway drug,” Biden said. “It’s a debate, and I want a lot more before I legalize it nationally. I want to make sure we know a lot more about the science behind it.

It is not irrational to do more scientific investigation to determine, which we have not done significantly enough, whether or not there are any things that relate to whether it’s a gateway drug or not.”

Business Insider:

Biden does support allowing states to make their own laws regarding marijuana. He also supports medical marijuana and believes possessing weed should not be a crime. But, he’s not for full legalization of marijuana because we simply do not have enough evidence stating it’s not a ‘gateway drug.’🙄🙄🙄

Who will be Trump' running mate?
