In an interview on Monday night with Chris Matthews on MSNBC, California Rep Eric Swalwell was interrupted by a loud farting noise. In the middle of his statement, he paused briefly after the noise, and attempted not to smile.
The moment went viral and Swalwell texted BuzzFeedNews with a denial.
Pressed by this reporter, Swalwell denied again having heard the fart, before adding, “It’s funny tho.”
