Seattle Public Schools tell parents to vaccinate their kids or don’t return to school

As the United States deals with the highest number of measles cases reported since 1992, Seattle Public Schools have told parents either vaccinate your kids or they cannot return to school.

On their website, the agency has reminded parents of current Washington law and posted information on how parents can get their children vaccinated.

“Student who are out of compliance with the Washington state immunization law on Wednesday, January 8, will be excluded from attending school. Once immunization compliance is achieved, they may return to school.”

If a child remains out of compliance past the January 8th deadline and misses school because of, the absences will be listed as ‘unexcused.’ The school will reverse this once the child receives the proper vaccinations and complies with Washington law.
