Stop me if you’ve heard this one before.
According to Columbus police, the family member, 26-year-old Darsean Rawls, had a loaded, unsecured handgun in his front pocket and was wrestling with the boy when the gun fell out of his pocket.
Police say the handgun fell onto the floor, causing it to fire, striking the boy in the buttocks.
The three year old was taken to a hospital and is expected to recover.
The gun owner was charged with negligent assault.
