Two people killed, one injured in shooting at Texas A&M Residence Hall

Two people were killed and another person has been taken to the hospital following a shooting at Texas A&M University-Commerce on Monday, according to the university.

All three people were gunshot victims, officials said. The shooting took place at Pride Rock Residence Hall.

Active criminal investigation at Pride Rock. Shelter in place until further notice. All classes are canceled for the remainder of the day and evening at the A&M-Commerce campus.

Additional sheltering space is available at the Club and in the ballrooms at Rayburn Student Center.
