Ohio may have done something right for once

While Trump called COVID-19 a hoax and hit the campaign trail for what will hopefully result in We the People kicking his orange ass to the curb, Ohio prepared for what has proven not to be not a hoax and a disease that has taken the lives of 17,995 Americans thus far.

  • On Feb. 26, the Cleveland Clinic “alerted the public that it was prepared to quickly open 1,000 additional hospital beds should the need arise.”
  • On March 4, Ohio’s Republican governor, Mike DeWine, “shut down a weekend fitness expo expected to draw 60,000 people a day to a Columbus convention center.”
  • At this time, Ohio had no known confirmed cases of COVID-19.
  • While other states saw a massive increase in COVID-19 cases because they either refused to address social distancing or were too ignorant to do so, Ohio may may have the seen benefits of early intervention because of both government and healthcare officials intervening in the pandemic.
  • Ohio has approximately 5,100 covid-.19 cases, fewer than “a third the number of people with the novel coronavirus than in three comparably sized states — Michigan, Pennsylvania and Illinois.”

Although it still remains to early too tell because the pandemic is still spreading and case counts rising, it appears Ohio faired better than what the medical community expected. However, officials warn that alls it takes is one party here or a church service there to fire up the deadly spread of this disease.

WaPo:

And of course, the COVIDIOTS came out yesterday to protest.

Who will be Trump' running mate?
