No, Wing Nuts, China won’t pay for the COVID-19 pandemic just like Mexico didn’t pay for The Wall

🙄🙄🙄

From Cult 45 to brain-dead Fox ‘News’ viewers and Republican lawmakers, the talk around the Wing Nut water cooler focuses on China ponying up for the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cotton was responding to an exclusive Fox News report that U.S. officials are increasingly confident that the virus that causes COVID-19 emerged from the laboratory not as a bioweapon, but as the result of a misbegotten effort to show China’s efforts to identify and combat viruses are equal to or greater than the capabilities of the United States.

Trump wouldn’t say if reports that the coronavirus emanated from a lab in Wuhan that had safety issues were true after a reporter pressed him at Wednesday’s coronavirus briefing.

Fox News reporter John Roberts cited “multiple sources” who said the United States was confident that the virus emanated from a virology lab in Wuhan. Roberts asked if Trump had heard that the lab had lax safety protocols and that an intern who passed the infection to her boyfriend, and then went to the fish market in Wuhan where the first known cases were tied.

A vacuum of knowledge about the origins of the new coronavirus ravaging the world has provided fertile ground for all manner of theories — from the fantastic, to the dubious to the believable.

It was a bioweapon manufactured by the Chinese. The US Army brought the virus to Wuhan. It leaked — like a genie out of a bottle — from a lab in an accident. It took root at a wildlife market in Wuhan.

Scientists have banded together across international borders to condemn the nationalist-tinged conspiracy theories. And yet, they are divided on what was once widely thought the most likely culprit: a so-called wet market in Wuhan, where wild animals are kept in cages and sold as pets or food. It is believed that a bat-infected animal — perhaps a pangolin — infected the first human.

CNN:

As far back as February, the Chinese state-backed Wuhan Institute of Virology pushed dismissed rumors that the virus may have been artificially synthesized at one of its laboratories or perhaps escaped from such a facility.

Pompeo, in a Fox News Channel interview after Trump’s news conference, said “we know this virus originated in Wuhan, China,” and that the Institute of Virology is only a handful of miles away from the wet market.

“We really need the Chinese government to open up” and help explain “exactly how this virus spread,” said Pompeo.

“The Chinese government needs to come clean,” he said.

Senators Rubio and Scott (Idiots-FL) both told Newsweek that we should hold China responsible for COVID-19 pandemic.

Who will be Trump' running mate?
