Evangelical Pastor Spell of Baton Rouge has started a campaign called “#PastorSpellStimulusChallenge” in which followers are encouraged to send money they’ve received from the government as part of the federal stimulus package to evangelists and missionaries.
First rule is it starts this Sunday. Second rule is donate your stimulus money … and third rule is give it to North American evangelists, missionaries or music ministers who haven’t received any money from parishioners in the past month.
Spell says that he and his wife are both donating $1200 to churches. Their son is chipping in his $600 according to the preacher.
Last week Spell said “true” Christians wouldn’t mind dying from the virus for Jesus or something.
Spell continues to hold “services” during the pandemic.
