Summary: Chomsky states that this is the most important election in history. It’s imperative that we remove the malignancy from office, as a simple matter of voting arithmetic. We cannot sustain 4 more years of Trump racing toward the abyss that could readily take us beyond the point of no return. Political engagement is not a matter of pulling the lever every four years, but a movement that requires everyday activism. The latter can continue and effect meaningful change with Biden at the helm and can lend hope for 2024 and beyond. If we do not successfully oppose Trump now, the damage wreaked may well be too late to ever be able to recuperate.
