Texas became the first state to register a million total cases. By the end of today, they will have crossed the 20,000 deaths mark. Yesterday, Illinois led all states in new cases; Texas led in new deaths.
JOHNS HOPKINS stats:
America currently has a positive test rate of 7.3% and climbing. 15 states, plus DC, have a positive rate of 5% or less, while 21 states now have a positive test rate of 10% or greater. The worst of those are:
- South Dakota 52.0%
- Iowa 43.2%
- Idaho 38.6%
- Kansas 37.1%
- Wyoming 33.1%
COVID TRACKING PROJECT stats:
