For the 7th consecutive day, America had over 100,000 new cases.  Experts warn we may hit 200,000 new cases per day soon.

WORLDOMETER  stats:

  • +125,759 new cases
  • +642 new Covid deaths
  • Illinois and Texas both over 10,000
  • Florida led with 58 deaths

JOHNS HOPKINS  stats:

America’s Covid positive test rate continues to climb rapidly, and now stands at 8.3%, a full 0.3% above yesterday, and up a full 1% since Friday.  12 states, plus DC, have a positivity rate of 5% or less, while a whopping 25 states now have a positive rate of 10% or higher.  The worst five are:

  1. South Dakota  54.0%
  2. Iowa  48.3%
  3. Kansas  41.3%
  4. Idaho  38.6%
  5. Wyoming  34.5%

COVID TRACKING PROJECT  stats:

By the end of today, America will break records for most Covid patients in the hospital and most patients in ICU, records set back during the first wave in April.  In the next few weeks we are going to really test our nation’s medical capacity.
