Schumer and Pelosi Are All In For Trump’s $2,000 Offer For Relief Bill

Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi are signaling support for Trump’s suggestion to increase direct payments to Americans for $2,000 in a revamped coronavirus stimulus and government funding bill.

McConnell has so far not issued any statements.

The current bill as it stands received enough votes to override a presidential veto.

  • In the Senate, 92 voted in favor of the bill, and six voted against.
  • In the House, 359 voted in favor of the bill, and 53 voted against.

There is no guarantee that the votes would not be influenced by Trump’s intervention.
