Join News Views for a Live Discussion on Georgia’s runoff election. Today’s election will provide us with who will control the U.S. Senate, although the final results are not expected to come in for a few more days since Georgia doesn’t start counting mail-in ballots until the polls close.
Republicans only need one of their candidates to win to hold control (hostage) of the Senate. But if both Democratic candidates win, each party will hold 50 seats, which will result in VP Kamala Harris casting the tie-breaking vote.
