For the first time in several years, we can now exhale. We can feel our blood pressure lower and just breathe a sigh of relief because it’s over. The nightmare known as Trump is over; he’s gone, thankfully.
Sure, the world is still on fire; we hit 414K deaths today due to COVID-19 and we’re running out of vaccines. No, we’re not vaccinating one million people a day like wing nut world would like us to believe. So far, only “10.6 million people in the United States had received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, and about 1.6 million people had been fully vaccinated, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.”
But there is hope because the adults have taken control of the situation. Hopefully, President Biden’s plan will prevail and just maybe at some point this year, we might see a return to some form of normalcy, whatever the new normal may be. Perhaps, we may even get together for the holidays without fear of infecting our loved ones or having them infect us.
One thing that stuck out for me during the inauguration was Former Presidents Clinton, Bush, and Obama’s remarks urging Americans to find ways to talk with one another, especially those we do not agree with.
“We’ve got to not just listen to folks we agree with, but listen to folks we don’t,” Obama said.

That’s some lofty stuff, Barack. (But, you’re still my favorite president no matter how impossible your suggestion is).
How can we listen to these ‘folks’ when they are so extreme and void of facts? In fact, they’re downright delusional so, how can we, President Obama?!?!
These people actually believed that Trump won the election but somehow, it was stolen from him. They actually thought that on inauguration day, we would see a ton of arrests, all this evidence of mass voter fraud, and Trump would remain in power.
So, tell me again, how can we listen to these nutjobs? Logic and rational left them long time ago. Sorry, President Obama, you listen to them and good luck with that.
