House Democrat to Introduce Resolution to Expel Marjorie Taylor Greene

House Democrat Jimmy Gomez of California is introducing a resolution to expel Marjorie Taylor Greene from Congress.

“Her very presence in office represents a direct threat against the elected officials and staff who serve our government, and it is with their safety in mind, as well as the security of institutions and public servants across our country,” Gomez said in the announcement

CNN uncovered social media posts from 2018 and 2019 advocating violence against Democratic leaders that Greene supported.

Greene has also supported QAnon theories and Trump’s election fraud theories.

Videos have also surfaced that show her harassing David Hogg, calling him a coward for advocating gun law reform.

“Such advocacy for extremism and sedition not only demands her immediate expulsion from Congress, but it also merits strong and clear condemnation from all of her Republican colleagues, including House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell,” Gomez said.

It’s uncertain when Gomez plans to introduce the resolution or how much support it will have among other members of Congress.
