What a Friday! What a week! We made it through.
I know I need some Distance from this horrific moment in America’s history, some time to reconnect with the world outside of the outrageous theater we’ve endured.
Sunday is Valentine’s Day, a day to show some love. It’s a great time to reach out to someone you care about, whether that someone is within your household, or at least within your phone or Zoom contacts. We have found new ways to express affection in a pandemic, and we’ve learned there are ways to bridge that physical gap. We need to spend a moment –or several– in sync with our real lives, our real loves. And if you are alone, love yourself. Buy yourself chocolates, flowers –or a chocolate stout.
I know we are weary, but we can do this. It’s important.
