Merrick Garland’s AG Nomination Delayed by Tom Cotton

The confirmation of Merrick Garland as Attorney General has hit a roadblock by the name of Tom Cotton who thinks he didn’t get adequate answers on the death penalty, immigration and gun sales.

Earlier on Wednesday, Dick Durbin knew something was up, but wasn’t certain who the culprit was.

Garland is still expected to be easily confirmed in a full Senate vote, as he advanced out of the Senate Judiciary Committee with a 15-7 vote, with Cotton, Lee, Cruz, Sasse, Hawley, Kennedy and Blackburn the votes against.

All Democrats support Garland, and McConnell and Grassley have expressed their support as well.
