Army Prepares For Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination

The Army has sent directives to commands instructing them to prepare for the administration of mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations as early as September 1, pending full Food and Drug Administration approval and licensure.

The directive came from an execute order sent to the force by Department of the Army Headquarters. According to one official, the Pentagon has not put out any guidance to the armed services to prepare for a mandatory vaccine roll-out.

The Army currently reports that around 70% of its forces have received the vaccine voluntarily, but recent demand has fallen off.

Kentucky Republican Thomas Massie claimed military members will “quit” if forced to be vaccinated.

Other sponsors of the bill include Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, Chip Roy, Andy Biggs, Louie Goehmert, and Paul Gosar. See the bill and all of its sponsors here.
