Basketball is over! Milwaukee wins the NBA Championship, first time in 50 years

It had been 50 years since the Milwaukee Bucks could call themselves NBA champions, but 50 points from Giannis Antetokounmpo helped end that drought.

The Bucks’ two-time NBA MVP led the way as Milwaukee beat the Phoenix Suns, 105-98, at home in Game 6 of the NBA Finals Tuesday and won the second league title in franchise history.

The Suns, who got 26 points from all-star guard Chris Paul, will have to wait at least another year for the first championship in their history despite getting off to a 2-0 start in the NBA Finals. They were badly out-rebounded, 59-41, by the bigger Bucks in Game 6.

The Washington Post:

The MVP award went to Giannis Antetokounmpo.
