RNC Removes Webpage Praising Trump’s Taliban Peace Deal

The Republican National Committee has apparently removed a webpage from 2020 that praised Trump’s signing of “an historic peace agreement with the Taliban.”

Reporters noticed that the webpage had been removed, redirecting traffic to a 404 error page. The removal was confirmed by a digital archive retrieval of the now deleted page.

The section of the RNC webpage praised Trump’s bigly peace deals in the Middle East, noting that TFG had defeated ISIS while Joe Biden was pushing for endless wars.

As the Taliban has seized control of Afghanistan with surprising speed, TFG calls for Joe Biden to resign in disgrace, and says that he was never elected legitimately.

In April, Trump was fully behind Biden pulling out of Afghanistan.

Biden has said that Trump’s Taliban deal left him little choice but to evacuate Afghanistan completely.

Biden said the deal “left the Taliban in the strongest position militarily since 2001” and left him with few choices: “Follow through on the deal, with a brief extension to get our forces and our allies’ forces out safely, or ramp up our presence and send more American troops to fight once again in another country’s civil conflict.”

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo blamed the Biden Administration for not adopting a “deterrance model” and instead prioritizing climate change and critical race theory.

A UN report from June 2020 showed the Islamist militant group had failed to fulfill one of the central tenets of the Trump Taliban agreement – that it would break ties with al-Qaeda.
