How to offer a pro-tip to an Ignorant, Illiterate, Racist, and ‘Fullish’ MAGAt: Let him know this is FAKE NEWS so don’t post it. Don’t be a ‘stumbling block’ to accuracy.

Altered video twists Kamala Harris statements on COVID vaccines

A video from a speech shows Vice President Kamala Harris repeatedly saying that most people who were hospitalized or recently died from COVID-19 were vaccinated.

AP’S ASSESSMENT: False. Harris did not make these statements, according to the original video of the speech distributed by the White House. In the falsified version of the video, its audio track was manipulated to make it appear Harris said vaccinated people were being hospitalized and dying from COVID-19, when she actually said this was happening among unvaccinated people.

THE FACTS: Manipulated videos purporting to show Harris making negative remarks about coronavirus vaccines have circulated online this week.

McConaughey, who has suggested he is mulling a run for governor in Texas, said Tuesday at the DealBook Online Summit that while he supports vaccination, he does not support a vaccine mandate for children. “I couldn’t mandate having to vaccinate the younger kids,” McConaughey said. “I still want to find out more information.”

McConaughey said he and his wife, Camila Alves, are vaccinated, and share a household with his 90-year-old immunocompromised mother. “I’m not vaccinating mine,” he said of his children.

“Presidents are not kings,” Judge Tanya Chutkan wrote, adding: “And Plaintiff is not President,” as she ruled that current commander in chief Joe Biden — and not the former occupants of the office — is the determining factor in privilege claims.
