GUNZ: Wife ‘Accidentally’ Shoots Husband in Both Legs

MOUNT AUBURN, Ind. — A man was shot in the leg by his wife as the couple checked a noise outside their residence.

Heidi Bartlett,41,  had grabbed a handgun at her husband’s suggestion before the couple went outside after hearing a noise that had their dogs barking and jumping at the door, according to the release. The handgun ‘discharged’ just after they exited the residence.

The bullet struck Matthew Bartlett, 44, in the upper left leg, then entered his right leg just above the knee, the release said. He received treatment at Reid Health.
