I decided to post this early today.
So, do anything exciting last night? We didn’t–just hung out at home and welcomed in 2022 with a nice Prosecco at the same time those on Eastern Standard Time (EST) did. We had no desire nor intention of staying up until midnight, Pacific Time…NOPE.
For those who did celebrate NYE a little too much, here’s a list of some hangover cures courtesy of Newsweek:
- Avocado Toast
- Fermented Foods
- Congee (rice porridge traditionally eaten in Asian countries )
Foods high in potassium appear to be the best cure since alcohol depletes our body of electrolytes, which causes dehydration.
In the ‘old days’ when my husband and I would go out and dance the night away, the best cure for over indulgence for me was tons of water and rest. What did I want to eat? Something spicy or the Vietnamese soup, Pho.
