Tucker Carlson Curiously Wonders Why the U.S. Would Defend Ukraine’s Democracy Against Russia

Fox News’ Tucker Carlson has been repeatedly wondering out loud why the U.S. is choosing to defend Ukraine against Russian forces aligning along their borders.

Last month, Carlson seemed to think that Putin’s forces aligning along the Ukraine border was a defensive move to keep Russia’s borders secure.

Carlson has attempted to explain the intentions of NATO, and questions neo-cons in the Republican party who stand behind Ukraine.

On Monday’s show, Tucker asked, “Why is it disloyal to side with Russia but loyal to side with Ukraine?” 

New Jersey Democrat Rep. Tom Malinowski says that Carlson’s opinion is now infiltrating his office, with what he says are Fox viewers who are upset.

My office is now getting calls from folks who say they watch Tucker Carlson and are upset that we're not siding with Russia in its threats to invade Ukraine, and who want me to support Russia's "reasonable" positions.

“People get their opinions by watching the news, that’s nothing new,” he said. “What is new is we have at least one talk show host with a huge captive audience that is not exposed to any counter-programming elsewhere … I find that very concerning.”
