Besides the inability to grasp ‘Bigly Concepts’ like Per Capita, it appears the GQP cannot even grasp simple numerical facts and logic.
Rep. Debbie Lesko (Idiot-AZ.) tweeted a gross exaggeration about the number of immigrants apprehended at the US border in the last six months. Twittersphere immediately ridiculed her for it but the tweet stayed up for about five hours, (555 in her world), before someone in her orbit clued her in that she had three too many zeros in her figure.
In the last six months, 1,013,513 migrants were apprehended or expelled at America’s southern border, according to US Customs and Border Protection.
If CBP had apprehended the number of immigrants crossing our southern border that Rep. Lesko claimed, it would equate to approximately one eighth of the world’s population, and almost eight times the population of Mexico.
Not only does the GQP have a problem with math but English and simple logic doesn’t appear to be their thing either.
Spoiler Alert: You cannot claim Joe Biden and the Democratic Party have an ‘open border’ policy when we’ve apprehended over a million people trying to cross this so called open border in the last six months. DERP!
