More Qevin McQarthy tapes released: 25th Amendment was in play but would take too long

“What the President did is atrocious and totally wrong.”

-Qevin McQarthy, January 8, 2021.

Newly released audio shows that two days after the MAGAt attack on the Capitol Building, Qevin McQarthy spoke with GQP leaders to discuss the 25th Amendment to remove TFG from office but…there was one, big hurdle: It would take too long.

Interesting to note in this latest, released tape of Qevin explicitly expressing disloyalty to TFG was Qevin stating he wanted to reach out to President Elect Joe Biden to express hope for a “smooth transition,” and said he thought impeachment would further divide the nation. But , the House impeached TFG’s orange ass anyway but the Senate failed to convict him for the role he played in the insurrection.

From CNN:

At one point in the recording, McCarthy asks an aide for a readout of a separate call. It’s not clear exactly what call he is referring to. The aide responds, “I think the options that have been cited by the Democrats so far are the 25th Amendment, which is not exactly an elegant solution here.”

McCarthy interjects to say, “That takes too long too. It could go back to the House, right?”

The aide responds, “Correct. If the President were to submit a letter overruling the Cabinet and the vice president, two-thirds vote in the House and the Senate to overrule the President. So it’s kind of an armful.”

Of course, Qevin has not released any comments on this latest revelation.

TFG, tapes, Kev
