Arizona Senate Candidate on Gun Violence: ‘It’s Black People, Frankly’

Libertarian and TFG endorsed Arizona Senate candidate, Blake Masters, sat for an interview with the Jeff Oravits Show and acknowledged the United States does indeed have a gun violence problem. But, he blamed the problem on ‘Black people, frankly’ and claimed sensible gun legislation would target ‘good people’ (white supremacists) like Mr. Masters.

“We do have a gun violence problem in this country, and it’s gang violence.

It’s people in Chicago, St. Louis shooting each other. Very often, you know, Black people, frankly,” Masters clarified. “And the Democrats don’t want to do anything about that.”

Like other GQPers, Masters pulled out his White Supremacist talking points and focused on our big cities. He cited urban gang violence in and attempt circumvent a real debate on sensible gun legislation. Usually, GQPers use dog whistles to make their point but Masters came right out and said the quiet part out loud and blamed ‘Black people, frankly’ for our country’s gun violence problem.

Masters also ‘thinks’ California has legalized crime. It’s not exactly clear where he obtained this information but it appears he’s twisted Proposition 47, which CA voters approved several years ago. Prop 47 does not ‘legalize’ crime. It reclassified certain felonies as misdemeanors. But after the recent rise in property crimes such as “smash and grab” robberies, most Californians support tougher sentencing laws, including overhauling parts of Prop 47.

According to the white nationalist website VDARE, Masters is an “immigration patriot,” and quite clear about his vision of two Americas. In other words, he supports the debunked conspiracy theory, The Great Replacement Theory.

Masters tweet this after President Biden announced his administration would crack down on ghost guns.
