Herschel Walker criticizes the Inflation Reduction Act: “Don’t we have enough trees around here?”

On Sunday, Georgia’s majorly flawed US Senate candidate, Herschel Walker, criticized the Inflation Reduction Act by arguing that it includes wasteful spending to combat global warming and asking, “Don’t we have enough trees around here?”

“They continue to try to fool you that they are helping you out. But they’re not,” Walker said. “Because a lot of money, it’s going to trees. Don’t we have enough trees around here?”

It’s unclear (like most things Walker blurts out) if Walker referred to a provision in the law that “allocates $1.5 billion to the U.S. Forest Service’s Urban and Community Forestry Program.” But regardless, Walker made it very clear that we have enough trees and really don’t need anymore. 🙄

This isn’t the first time the former NFL football player who now pretends he knows how things work has blurted out something incredibly ignorant. Below are just a few samplings of the ignorant and eye rolling nonsense he has claimed:

  • In a July 9 appearance, he spoke about climate change, suggesting that Georgia’s “good air decides to float over” to China, replacing China’s “bad air,” which goes back to Georgia, where “we got to clean that back up.”
  • “First of all, Sen. Warnock has nothing else to talk about,” Walker told Kilmeade, who was slobbering over his words like a golden retriever. “I’ve told him many times, I’m ready to debate him anytime, any day, I just want to make it for the fans, not about a political party or some media or about some media and all he’s doing is talking.”
  • “We need to get into what happened to him, why, by putting money in mental health. Have people thought about that?” Walker said, referring to the 18-year-old Uvalde gunman. “We’ve gotta get back into prayer. People thinking now praying is bad. No, it’s not bad. We need to pray for things like that. We need to continue to go out and fight, continue to take your constitutional rights away, and I think we can’t do that.”
  • “You talk about doing a disinformation, what about getting a department that can look at young men that’s looking at women, that’s looking at their social media? What about doing that, looking into things like that, and we can stop that that way?”

Recently, Mitch McConnell expressed concern about the Democratic Party retaining control of the US Senate and adding additional members. With flawed candidates such as Walker, ‘Dr.’ Oz, JD Vance, Ron Johnson, and others, he should be concerned.

Walker stands by his ignorance:

Do better, GA:
