Good Thursday morning!
Grab your coffee and let’s get it started! It’s a free chat here with a twist: You get to choose the topic or we suggest one for you.
Many times on our free chats we encourage News Viewers to share music, and today is no exception.
*With a twist.
In the example that follows, I would rather stab at my eardrums with (cotton-wrapped) knitting needles than listen to what follows more than once. If you’re allowing me to just take it for the team, trust me, this is terrible — probably worse than Trump’s J6 Choirboys “Justice For All” fake version of the national anthem.
The song was produced by the same morons, and promoted by Ed Henry, a conservative commentator who was fired from Fox News for (can you guess?) a complaint of “willful sexual misconduct in the workplace.”
Jeffrey Steele is the vocalist, who has been a songwriter for Tim McGraw and Rascall Flatts. Back-up singers are called the Truth Bombers — no joke.
Mailman Media is selling a vinyl edition for $100, as well as T-shirts and hats. It’s unclear what will be done with any profits from the song — snickers. Proceeds from Trump’s stupid recording “Justice For All” was supposed to benefit families of insurrectionists in prison.
Does anyone want to take a stab at a country song title for Kari Lake’s perpetual whining, grifting campaign?
I don’t follow a lot of country music, but a common cliché among the genre seemed to be the antithesis of winning. Lots of dogs, beer, trucks, D-I-V-O-R-C-E, and in general —
I know we’re a creative bunch, and there are no wrong answers. Help us out, if you’re inclined, otherwise enjoy your free chat, and make it a great Thursday!!
