Grandson of JFK Endorses Biden, Calls RFK Jr’s Campaign an Embarrassment

The grandson of President John F. Kennedy became the latest member of the Kennedy family to condemn the presidential campaign of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Jack Schlossberg, 30, the son of Caroline Kennedy, accused his older cousin of “trading in on Camelot,” and spreading conspiracy theories “for personal gain and fame.”

“I know him. I have no idea why anyone thinks he should be president. What I do know is his candidacy is an embarrassment. Let’s not be distracted, again, by somebody’s vanity project. I am excited to vote for Joe Biden in my state’s primary, and again in the general election.”

“Under Biden, we’ve added 13 million jobs, unemployment is at its lowest in 60 years. Biden passed the largest investment in infrastructure since the New Deal and the largest investment in green energy ever. He’s appointed more federal judges than any president since my grandfather. He ended our longest war. He ended the Covid pandemic, and he ended Donald Trump. These are the issues that matter. And if my cousin, Bobby Kennedy Jr., cared about any of them, he would support Joe Biden too,” Schlossberg said.

Schlossberg is only the latest of Kennedy family members to speak out against RFK Jr. since he suggested the coronavirus was ethnically targeted to spare Jews and Chinese people.

  • Kerry Kennedy, sister of RFK Jr. called those remarks deplorable and untruthful.
  • Joseph Kennedy II, brother of RFK Jr. said “his remarks in no way reflect the words and actions of our father, Robert F. Kennedy.”
  • Former Representative Joseph Kennedy III tweeted “I unequivocally condemn what he said.”

Schlossberg has increasingly taken a public role with the family’s Profile in Courage Awards and with various political and philanthropic causes, including speaking at the 2020 Democratic National Convention.

Active on Instagram, he recently posted a photo of himself shirtless and drew comparisons to his late uncle, John F. Kennedy Jr.
