Good morning, News Viewers and Happy Tuesday. Are you ready for fall? September 23, 2023 marks the best season of the year (for me) followed by spring. Since I like the cold and heat about as much as I enjoy dental extractions, those two seasons can, well, just shorten themselves. Unfortunately where I live, spring and fall are the shortest seasons. We tend to go from winter to summer overnight with maybe, if we are lucky, get a few weeks of spring and fall between.
I just could hardly wait to put a pot of soup on the stove; bake some pumpkin or cranberry bread, or just something hearty. What about you? What is your favorite fall-like food or something you try to make or buy that signifies fall?
Have a great day and stay safe! BTW—we have already had to rake up leaves. My big tree starts shedding late August…it’s typical for all the old trees where I live to start jacking up everything late summer. By November, huge piles of leaves line all of our streets. That’s what happens when you live in the heart of the City of Trees.
