Former POT-Azz Donald Trump sat for an interview on Monday with Adin Ross, a high-profile streamer who is popular among conservatives, to discuss his presidential campaign in an effort to reach younger voters.
- The interview was Ross’ most widely viewed stream on the platform Kick, a competitor to Twitch. It frequently held between 400,000 and 550,000 viewers. At one point, the stream reached more than 580,000 viewers.
- Kick has fewer rules and less strict enforcement than Twitch. It hosts a number of controversial streamers, some of whom have been accused of violent and abusive conduct.
- Ross is friends with Andrew Tate, who is known for his misogynistic comments online. Tate’s arrest in March on rape and human trafficking charges was precipitated by Ross’ indicating in a livestream that Tate was planning to leave Romania.
During the interview, Ross gifted Trump a Cybertruck and a Rolex watch, raising questions over campaign finance law.
The Cybertruck was wrapped with images of Trump post-assassination, and Trump was impressed.
“Wow!” he said. “That’s an Elon!”
If Trump actually accepted the gifts, it could violate federal campaign finance law. Contributions to federal candidates from an individual are limited to $3,300, far short of the tens of thousands the vehicle and watch are worth.
