Arizona Debate Gets Feisty Between Ruben Gallego and Kari Lake

During a hot debate on Wednesday, extreme MAGA candidate Kari Lake reminded voters of her three-decade television career in an attempt to overcome a polling deficit in the Arizona Senate race against Rep. Ruben Gallego.

An aggregate of polling shows Gallego with a wide lead over Lake, 50% to 42%.

Gallego, a former marine who served in Iraq, applied ample opportunity to call out the populist Lake on her denial regarding her loss in the Arizona governor’s race in 2022, her stance on abortion, and immigration.

On abortion:

I’ll take UVF for $500 Ruben:

Lake took ample opportunity to make personal attacks against Gallego.

“Look at his character and his background,” Lake said Wednesday.

Skari has referred to Gallego’s 2016 divorce from Kate Gallego, who is now the mayor of Phoenix. Noting the marriage ended weeks before the couple’s son was born, Lake says Gallego abandoned his wife while she was pregnant.

Kate Gallego has endorsed her ex-husband and campaigned with him as recently as last week.

The recap? Lots of cheap talk, talking over, personal insults, and denial from Skari Lake.
