Good morning all, and welcome to Week 50, and Day 348 of the year 2024, with eight days left until winter. Really. Currently a crisp 12°, so a nice prelude to “winter.”
For the second time in two days, I’ve heard the term “Christmas Cookies” uttered in a pitiful, wistful expression coming from the better half of the marital union — and I’m wondering if a few morsels of festive treats could help boost the lack of Christmas spirit in the household.
It may become today’s goal. I used to do a lot of Christmas baking, but have been trying to cut back, you know, with the price of eggs and all… Maybe it’s just me, it doesn’t feel like Christmas, even in a 12° wintry snowbelt hellscape.
