Chip Carter, son of former President Jimmy Carter, confirmed his father passed away at his Plains, GA home about 3:45 p.m today; he was 100 years old.
James Earl Carter, Jr. – 39th president of the United States – was born Oct. 1, 1924, in Plains, Georgia.
Carter has many titles under his belt as he was the oldest living president, as well as the oldest – post-presidency. His 77-year-long marriage to Rosalynn made him the longest married president.
