Vivek Ramaswamy, yapping billionaire and Trump’s choice to co-lead with Elon Musk the “Department of Government Efficiency,” is expected to quietly exit DOGE and announce a run for governor of Ohio at the end of January.
Musk allies have been after Ramaswamy for weeks to exit DOGE, with friction between rank and file DOGE staffers and Ramaswamy.
“Vivek has worn out his welcome,” one person close to Trump said.
At Mar-a-Lago Ramaswamy was seen with Musk sketching out DOGE plans on a napkin, but apparently it’s been a while since the two have worked together.
More recently Ramaswamy met up with Ohio Governor Mike DeWine about the vacant Senate seat left by JD Maybelline, but DeWine ended up selecting his own Lt. Governor for the position.
The Swampy One now intends to announce a campaign for Ohio governor as soon as the end of January, according to multiple sources.
