Since the Fascist Felon took office a little more than a week ago, he broke his Oath of Office immediately, wiped his morbidly obese ass with our Constitution, and went on a power grab spree. In the old days, he would have faced his third impeachment. But the House, which once belonged to the People, is now (mis)managed by another Fascist who is all wrapped up in Christian Nationalism so, The Fascist Felon will not face any consequences for his illegal power grab and failure to uphold our Constitution.
Here’s a recap of some of the most outrageous and chaotic moves The Fascist Felon has implemented:
Trump administration offering buyouts to nearly all federal workers
- The Trump administration is offering millions of federal workers the option to accept buyouts through a government-wide “deferred resignation” program.
- The offers come as President Donald Trump’s administration pushes federal employees to return to the office five days per week.
- The White House expects up to 10% of federal employees to take the buyout, an official told NBC News.
Those who accept the offer will receive pay and benefits through Sept. 30, according to a draft email obtained Tuesday by NBC News.
The sweeping buyouts are being offered to “make sure that all federal workers are on board with the new administration’s plan to have federal employees in office and adhering to higher standards,” a senior administration official told NBC on condition of anonymity.
“We’re five years past COVID and just 6 percent of federal employees work full-time in office. That is unacceptable,” the official said, citing a report from Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, who co-chairs the congressional DOGE caucus.
Trump Buyouts Mirror Elon Musk’s Twitter Purge
Trump’s sweeping orders reek of Musk’s management philosophy
The Trump administration today offered federal workers an option of resigning their jobs, sweetened by a severance package of about eight months’ pay and benefits. Trump’s plan, the White House says, aims to cut the federal workforce and purge workers, such as DEI administrators. It is a cynical move designed to avoid lawsuits and challenges ahead regarding the rights of civil service workers.
Trump’s plan, expressed in a memo blasted out to federal workers, bears a striking resemblance to one Elon Musk sent to Twitter (X) employees in 2023, before laying off around 80 percent of the company’s workforce. The two memos even have the same title — “Fork in the Road.”
Trump Signs Order Restricting Gender-Affirming Treatments for Minors
The directive built on a string of recent actions to roll back federal protections and services for transgender people.
President Trump signed an executive order on Tuesday taking steps to end gender-affirming medical treatments for children and teenagers under 19, directing agencies to take a variety of steps to curtail surgeries, hormone therapy and other regimens.
The order continued to chip away at social protections for transgender and intersex people, coming one day after Mr. Trump directed the Pentagon to re-evaluate whether anyone who received gender-related medical treatments should be permitted to serve in the military.
Navajo Nation leaders raise alarm over reports of Indigenous people being questioned and detained during immigration sweeps
At least 15 Indigenous people in Arizona and New Mexico have reported being stopped at their homes and workplaces, questioned or detained by federal law enforcement and asked to produce proof of citizenship during immigration raids since Wednesday, according to Navajo Nation officials.
The reports, which have caused panic amongst tribal communities in both states, come amid the Trump administration’s attempt to ramp up undocumented immigrant arrests nationwide and amass a larger force to carry out the president’s deportation pledge. CNN has reached out to the White House for comment.
The reported raids and the exact number of Diné/Navajo and other Indigenous tribal citizens who were apprehended are still under investigation, Navajo Nation Council Speaker Crystalyne Curley told CNN. It is unclear if Immigration and Customs Enforcement or other law enforcement entities were conducting the apprehensions. ICE has not responded to CNN’s request for comment.
Trump fires EEOC and labor board officials, setting up legal fight
It wasn’t a surprise when President Trump fired National Labor Relations Board General Counsel Jennifer Abruzzo late Monday. She was a Biden appointee who had used the agency to expand workers’ rights.
But Trump went further, also firing Democratic board member Gwynne Wilcox in an unprecedented move that she has vowed to fight in court.
Due to existing vacancies, Wilcox’s ouster leaves the board with just two members, short of the quorum it needs to adjudicate even routine cases. (The board, when fully staffed, has five members.)
