Comer Cites “Decorum” and Threatens to Remove Maxwell Frost from Hearing

Kentucky Rep. James Comer threatened to have Florida Rep. Maxwell Frost removed from a House Oversight hearing after he called Trump a grifter, and criticized the slash and burn government cuts being proposed by “President Musk.”

“You want to talk about making cuts to things like Medicaid, which, by the way, over 35 percent of all the children in this country are covered under Medicaid,” Frost said. “People like the grifter-in-chief Trump and President Musk are openly using their public offices to enrich themselves to the tune of billions of dollars.”

It was Louisiana Rep. Clay Higgins who called for Frost’s words to be stricken from the record.

Whack-job South Carolina Rep. Nancy Mace interrupted to say, “If I wanted to challenge someone to a fight, they would know it!” (Mmkay?)

“I will say the President is grifting because you spent the last two years saying President Biden was corrupt,” Frost said.

“Take down his words!” Mace shouted.

“The gentleman’s words have been taken down,” Comer noted. “He is not permitted to speak for the rest of the hearing. Mr. ranking member, I’m going to have the sergeant at arms remove him if he doesn’t refrain.”

“I want to say it’s despicable that this committee is going to silence me,” Frost said before his microphone was cut off.
