President Elon Musk and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio got into it on Sunday with Poland’s foreign minister, Radoslaw Sikorski, over the use of Starlink’s satellite internet system in Ukraine, where Ukraine’s military has relied on the billionaire’s tech company, a part of SpaceX.
It started with Musk bragging in a post to X that Starlink was the “backbone of the Ukrainian army” and that “their entire front line would collapse if I turned it off.”
Poland’s foreign minister responded, and was reprimanded by President Musk, who called Sikorski a “small man.”
Apparently President Musk and Marco Rubio patched things up after their Cabinet meeting spat with Trump, as Lil Marco jumped in to demand a thank you, in defense of President Musk.
Sikorski later replied, “Thank you, Marco, for confirming that the brave soldiers of Ukraine can count on the vital internet service provided jointly by the US and Poland.”
The US government has already revoked some access to satellite imagery for Ukraine and paused intelligence sharing.
On Monday morning Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk called for respect between allies.
