In support of President Musk, Trump posted to Truth Social on Tuesday his plans to buy a Tesla because of an “illegal” boycott by “lunatics.”
Apparently, Trump is attempting to prop up “a truly great American” whose EV company’s stocks tanked on Monday, posting it’s worst day since 2020, now down 25% in 2025.
Musk’s social media site X was also suffering on Monday from cyberattacks the DOGE leader was quick to blame on “a large, coordinated group and/or a country.”
However, a pro-Palestinian hacktivist collective known as Dark Storm claims responsibility for taking X down with a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack. Dark Storm has been known to use Russian-style tactics, and has a history of attacking western targets and Ukraine-supporting organizations.
