Fact Check: Trump Defended Tariffs With False Honda Plant “Under Construction” Claim

Trump continues to announce a make believe Honda factory

Speaking aboard Air Force One on April 6 while returning from Mar-a-Lago to Washington, former President Donald Trump claimed that a major Honda auto plant was “under construction” in Indiana. The comment came during a broader defense of his tariff policy, which he said would generate “one trillion dollars” next year and bring thousands of companies back to the U.S.

Honda has made no announcement of a new plant and there isn’t a big Honda plant or any Honda plant under construction in Indiana. The company operates an existing facility in Greensburg, Indiana, which has been producing vehicles—including the Honda Civic—since 2008.

This man is a mendacious clown. Let’s be clear he has always been one.

US Justice Dept mobilized armed Marshals to warn ex-lawyer over congressional testimony, letter shows

The U.S. Justice Department planned to send armed U.S. Marshals to deliver a letter warning a fired career pardon attorney about testifying to Congress, her lawyer said in a letter seen by Reuters on Monday.

“This highly unusual step of directing armed law enforcement officers to the home of a former Department of Justice employee who has engaged in no misconduct, let alone criminal conduct, simply to deliver a letter, is both unprecedented and completely inappropriate,” Michael Bromwich, a lawyer representing fired pardon attorney Liz Oyer, wrote to the Justice Department.
