Trump is Big Mad at 60 Minutes Again While Putin Bombs Civilians

Trump is bigly mad at 60 Minutes and CBS again, threatening to have FCC Chairman Brendan Carr impose maximum fines and punishment “for their unlawful and illegal behavior” after the news program aired an interview with Ukrainian President Zelensky addressing the disastrous White House meeting with Trump and Vance.

“It seems to me that the vice president is somehow justifying Putin’s action,” Zelensky said of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who declared war on Ukraine in February 2022. Zelensky said that the U.S. was still a strategic, strong partner of Ukraine despite its shift in “tone” and “reality” and invited Trump to visit his country to witness the devastation firsthand.

After watching 60 Minutes tonight, Trump calls on FCC Chair Brendan Carr to revoke CBS’s broadcast license.

The full Zelensky interview:

On Sunday, Putin dropped ballistic missiles on civilians in the village of Sumy, killing 34 and injuring 117, the deadliest attack of the year in Ukraine.

Zelensky called for a “strong response from the world” to the attack, which came two days after top Trump administration official Steve Witkoff met with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss ending the war in Ukraine, with video showing the two warmly shaking hands before a four hour meeting.

But Trump was worried about making excuses for Putin:

Trump is asked about Putin’s Palm Sunday Massacre bombing of civilians. He repeats Kremlin propaganda that it was just a “targeting error”, because when Putin speaks that is the position of the president. Trump: “They made a mistake.”
