In a 7-2 ruling, SCOTUS has temporarily blocked The Fascist Felon and his Brownshirts from deporting any Venezuelans held in the Bluebonnet Detention Center, in west-central Texas, under the Alien Enemies Act.
"The government is directed not to remove any member of the putative class of detainees from the United States until further order of this court," the court said in a brief early Saturday note.
Uncles Clarence and Sam dissented.

This came despite a recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling that found the Trump administration could continue deporting under the act — only if detainees are given due process to challenge their removal. The government says 137 migrants accused of being members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, including a group of men sent to a prison in El Salvador, have already been deported under the Alien Enemies Act.
In another court ruling, Appeals court pauses Judge Boasberg’s contempt probe against Trump administration:
A federal appeals court late Friday temporarily halted U.S. District Judge James Boasberg’s contempt investigation against the Trump administration after he accused officials of failing to comply with his order regarding deportation flights to El Salvador last month.
A divided U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit emphasized that its order “should not be construed in any way as a ruling on the merits” of Boasberg’s decision. The decision is instead intended to provide “sufficient opportunity” for the court to consider the appeal by the Trump administration, the decision noted.
The three-judge appellate panel split 2-1 on the decision, with two Trump appointees ruling to hold up the contempt proceeding, and the Obama appointee dissenting.
