NYT Reporting Rampant Drug Use By Musk

The New York Times is reporting about Elon Musk’s extensive drug use during the 2024 campaign, according to people familiar.

Musk told people he was taking so much ketamine, a powerful anesthetic, that it was affecting his bladder, a known effect of chronic use. He took Ecstasy and psychedelic mushrooms. And he traveled with a daily medication box that held about 20 pills, including ones with the markings of the stimulant Adderall, according to a photo of the box and people who have seen it.

A nonexistent secret. We all already knew…

The reporting is not clear whether the drug use continued as Musk, 53, infiltrated the White House following the inauguration, but clearly there was erratic behavior, insulting cabinet members, throwing up a Nazi salute, and garbling answers during interviews.

People around him were worried about his behavior, his frequent drug use, mood swings and fixation on having more children. The accounts were based on private messages the NYT obtained and interviews with more than a dozen people who have known or worked with him.

Denouncing traditional therapies and antidepressants, Musk publicly described his mental health issues and has said he was prescribed ketamine to be taken every two weeks. The FDA has formally approved ketamine as an anesthetic in medical procedures, but some doctors with special licenses have prescribed it for psychiatric disorders like depressin.

According to the people familiar, his ketamine use has been known to be daily, blurring the line between medical and recreational.

At private parties in the U.S. and at least one foreign country, Musk has taken Ecstacy and psychedelic mushrooms.

He plays video games for hours on end. He struggles with binge eating, according to people familiar with his habits, and takes weight-loss medication.
