Happy Friday News Viewers on this anniversary of D-Day, June 6, 1944. This is our Friday Free Chat, an open forum where we can talk about our own D-Day, actually our own D Year — Doomsday year, Disaster year, Donald year — are we repeating that history we didn’t learn from in 1944?
Disastrous Donald is our doom, and we don’t need rare doomsday fish to make predictions of disaster. We just watch and listen as Donald decays and decays some more usually on National TV. There he sits, with visiting German Chancellor Merz in a televised press briefing, giving rambling, misinformed, and just dead wrong answers to questions. He’s always been a disaster, but he’s incoherent now and not remotely connected to reality. Following on his decaying heels is the godawful JD Vance — we don’t need nature’s signs to make a prediction that the country under Vance would march double time on toward Authoritarianism.
Alas, there I go being pessimistic again. This is a big country, we have a big resistance. We are also getting angrier, possibly more strategic. We’ll see, and meanwhile we can talk about it; what are your thoughts, ideas, rants and plans? That’s the first step to coming up with one of those next level strategies when fighting an enemy (like Ukraine did last week). Incredible.
