Today’s blog will focus primarily on the protests occuring in Los Angeles and our state’s response to them and The Fascist Felon’s war on California. I have also included other headlines unrelated to the focused events. But, feel free to share what you have as long as your headlines come from credible sources.

California to sue Trump administration

California Attorney General Rob Bonta and Gov. Gavin Newsom said they will file a lawsuit today against Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth over the activation of the state’s National Guard.

The Defense Department, under Trump’s orders, redirected hundreds of National Guard troops from San Diego to Los Angeles without the governor’s authorization and against the wishes of local law enforcement, the attorney general’s office said in a news release.

The lawsuit will ask the court to declare the order unlawful because it “exceeds the federal government’s authorities under the law and violates the Tenth Amendment.”

The Fascist Felon and His Brownshirts:

Several journalists have been injured while covering the protests in Los Angeles, including a television reporter who was struck when a law enforcement officer fired a rubber bullet while she was on the air.

This seems deliberate. Trump just called protesters in Los Angeles "insurrectionists."

White House struggles to find qualified people willing to work for Pete Hegseth

At least three people have turned down potential roles working for the defense secretary and former Fox News host. Supporters say his leadership has been effective.

The White House is looking for a new chief of staff and several senior advisers to support Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth after a series of missteps that have shaken confidence in his leadership, but it has so far found no suitable takers, according to four current and former administration officials and a Republican congressional aide.

Top Defense Department jobs, including the defense secretary’s chief of staff, are normally considered prestigious and typically attract multiple qualified candidates. But at least three people have already turned down potential roles under Hegseth, according to a former U.S. official, the defense official and a person familiar with the matter.

Dr. Phil was embedded with ICE during controversial Los Angeles immigration raids

As federal agents prepared to fan out in Los Angeles for a controversial immigration crackdown, the officers were greeted by a familiar face: Dr. Phil McGraw.

The television personality and his camera crew were on hand before and after the raids that took place on Friday and triggered several days of street protests.

McGraw was there “to get a first-hand look at the targeted operations,” according to his conservative TV channel, MeritTV.

The entire modern conservative movement’s existence and future depends upon the base being kept inside a hermetically-sealed cable and social media bubble, so that they can tell them demonstrable lies about the real world. Tell them up is down, hot is cold, black is white, and be *believed*.
