Strong thunderstorms raged on the Big Apple Wednesday night, and as luck would have it, someone had a camera focused on the Statue of Liberty when it appeared as if lightning struck our iconic symbol of freedom.
The dramatic footage leaves doubt whether the statue was directly struck, but it still inspires mental images of its symbolism.
