• +142,906 new COVID cases  (23% of world’s new cases).
• 7 day average of 129,475 per day.
• Texas and Illinois both over 12,000 cases (more than all but 10 countries).
• 10.708 million total cases  (20.4% of world’s total cases).
• +1,479 new COVID deaths  (14.5% of world’s new deaths).
• 7 day average of 1,080 per day.
• Texas and Illinois both over 120 deaths  (more than all but 18 countries).
• 247,398 total deaths  (19.2% of world’s total deaths).

JOHNS HOPKINS  stats for yesterday:

Yesterday, America had a 10.4% positive rate on 1.381 million tests and how has a 7 day average of 8.7% and climbing rapidly.  12 states plus DC have a positive rate of 5% or less and 28 states now have a positive rate of 10% or higher.  The worst five states are:

1. South Dakota  54.6%
2. Iowa  50.1%
3. Kansas  42.6%
4. Idaho  40.3%
5. Wyoming  39.9%
